Ummmm............
For a bayonet to really function, the pointy part needs to extend beyond the muzzle of the gun.
A compass mounted on a gun always points North- which is whichever direction you face- the steel of the barrel attracts the needle.
MY shotgun has a pistol grip that conceals a pistol........
