Default Old 410 Shotgun

My wife recently went to garage sale and ran across a couple of long guns for sale. I can't remember the last time I've seen guns at a garage sale. Anyway, she bought them. One is a Sears 410 break action with a blued barrel, painted receiver and hardwood stock. It is old enough to not have a serial number. The break open latch is a push button on the left side of the receiver. Anyone have an idea how old it is and who made it for Sears?

Is this a test? Is that the reason you keep the info about the model number secret?
