What r some good upgrades and what do the rest of yours look like?

I like mine looking as stock as possible. Sometimes I'll but a buttstock shell carrier on it but that's about it.

The Winchester 1300 is, IMHO, the best pump shotgun made. I currently own 2 and always keep my eye open for another one at a great price. The only bad thing about them when compared to an 870 or Mossy 500 is that there are not as many aftermarket options available. You can still get tubular mag extensions, a wide range of barrels from 18" to 30" with a number in between, slug barrels.....the list goes on.

Have you shot it yet? You may find that you like it just the way it is. What are you planning to use it for?

I put an ATI collapsable stock on it & a TruGlo TFI front sight.
I ran a tactical shotgun course with this configuration & it worked well.

Mine originally came with just a pistol grip. Recoil was bad & it was hard to hit any thing that way. Trust me, you don't want to shoot slugs with just a pistol grip.

I'm typically a purist when it comes to shotguns but I really like that setup. In fact, I was looking at getting that front sight. How do you like it?

Over all I would get it again.

It sits high. But the dot is big & visible in bright light or not.
It's for HD, & the sight is sturdy & snag free.

You do need to get the barrel drilled & tapped, I had a local GS
do it. I guess that's the real down side to it.

How much higher did it hit than the standard bead?

A couple of inches I guess.

Once you know where it's hitting, it's easy to compensate.
