[QUOTE=dragunovsks;74130]I bought one last year for $180 brand new, never fired and I've had ZERO problems out of it. Everytime I slide the pump it chambers a shell and goes bang flawlessly. The NEF pump is basically an 870 clone for half the price, as most 870 parts will fit (except a barrel). My "Protector" has an 18" barrel with no choke so it's shot pattern is pretty wide making it a good home defense shotgun and a good slug gun. I've shot everything from Remington punkin' ball slugs, #8 shot all the way up to "00" buck and everything in between through my NEF and not had any problems.

did you buy yours with an 18" barrel? ive owned the same gun for about a year now and have a 28" barrel was looking to see where i can pick up a shorter barrel at.
thanks

I've had an old Model 088 Topper since 1982 and it works great. I bought my son one wne he was 14 for his first shotgun. NEF used to be Harrington & Richardson and always made a quality product at a cheap price. If they are now made in China that's news to me.

They're not made in China. They're owned by Marlin and made in Gardner, Massachusetts.

I own the 18.5" barrel protector and have never had any problems with it, it's solid as hell and built like a tank. got mine for just over $200 at a sporting goods store brand new. You will never regret the decision if you decide to purchase it.

Default Any good indeed!

I picked up a NEF PPP a few weeks ago, and have been loving it ever since.Actually, my AR was in the shop. Somehow surronded by all the Mossy's, Remy's and Nelly's, it just looked out of place. I'm not going overboard, but I'm just getting a few changes. Light and laser and ammo holders. For now.......

It's used and there on consignment but it looks to be in excellent shape to me, clean, no scratches or marks and seems to function flawlessly. My only concern is that it's made in China so I wanted to see what you guys have to say about it, and whether $200 is a fair price (it seems right to me).
i bought one at walmart new for 159 plus tax...so yes 200 is way to high

Default Nef pp

I've had mine for about a year. Never had a problem. Mine was on sale for $175. It's been so good that I started looking for a longer barrel to use for hunting. Their barrels are hard to acquire. There is another in the Pardner line with two barrels. One short and one long. Look around first.
