What constitutes a "big rod" to you?

That's not a "big" rod bubba. These are the two I have at the house. Black is 12' yellow is 11'

Nice nice. Around here there is like absolutely no need for that but I have a 12' in the shed. Those look like some tiny reels to be using on such a big rod. I like to have big reels on my rods with some nice strong line to pull in those sharks ya know? A regular rod here is like 5' so breaking out the 10' will impress enough people tomorrow haha.

A Bg 60 daiwa, Abu Garcia 6000. Both spooled w 20# test big game. Those aren't that small really. My other reels are alot bigger. Around here we use them to cat fish the big lakes where it takes a rod that big to get out far enough to catch the big fish from the bank. Plus it takes them rods to hold the fish for that long as well.

Yeah, we are catfishing tomorrow. I caught one this last time on my like 5' rod that was practically bent in half. I was pretty sure it was going to snap. We were just screwing around with smaller fish at the time and I got lucky with that one. Oh well.

Ive been having issues extracting shells on my pardner. Was out today and a round got jammed once i got it out i noticed the carrier is extremely sticky. It doesn't move fluently at all and seems that the spent shells are dropping down and jamming the new round. I havent takin it apart yet to examine and clean yet but was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction ahead of time

It would help if you had a picture of the gun or the make and model. I am guessing it obviously isn't the single shot. I had no problems with my pump but I can help guide you in the right direction if you have picture or more info on the gun and whats happening. From what it sounds like it needs to be taken apart and cleaned well, possibly oiled too. Let me know and I will try to point you in the right direction.
