Default My Tactical Model 88 Maverick by Mossberg

Hello all... here is a shot of my Mossberg Model 88 Maverick... I have added an 18 inch barrel with heat shield and muzzle brake, a weaver rail for a Mossy 500 with a red dot sight, and a tactical stock... This was my first shotgun and I plan on keeping her forever... A great performing gun...

Looking good. Be careful to check your mount on the red dot every once in awhile. I had problems with mine shooting loose under recoil and it ruined my first red dot. Does the muzzle brake tighten up your groups at all? Reduce recoil? I've never used one.

I see I'm not the only one that saw to tactical mod a Maverick. Looks nice. Here's my version. I got this several years ago. I still debating if I want to do anything else to it or not. The pix turned out a bit dark, but that's a heat shield that has the sights mounted on it.

Thanks, Tom. The double deuce is actually the wife's. It's a hand me down from her father and I believe an uncle previously. It's in great shape and a good shooter still.

My father has 2 of them. Both model 46. If I get chance I will get a pic of them the next time I am there. They are great shooters.
