It looks like it's been dragged through the mud. I mean that in a good way. Your going for camo, you better not ever drop it outside, you'll never find it.

Whatever tacticool rifle I get, I want to do tiger stripe camo. That's just me. I'd prefer chrome, but it will be a GP rifle, so it may not be a good idea to chrome something that could end up being a hunting or SHTF rifle.

Yeah. This job settles it. When I'm done with school I'm going to buy an airbrush, duracoat, everything I need and start painting guns for money.
I really enjoy it, and have done a few rifles and a vehicle.

On a side note, if you just use a khaki base then dab green, it looks almost identical to ACU.

Okay. I just figured out the trick to duplicating atacs camouflage...
On my shotgun what I did was khaki base, then I sprayed the easel with green, and sponged it up and dabbed onto the rifle. Same with brown.
This gives the rifle a pretty awesome camo look, more on par with digital ACU. While it looks great and I'm not disappointed, it's not as close to atacs as I intended, until this...

After applying the khaki base and ALLOWING TO DRY COMPLETELY!!!....
Spray the green directly onto the khaki base, in the areas you want green. Quickly, use the sponge to blot up the green paint and spread it around as you blot.
Since the brown is sparsely used, spray brown onto the easel and dab with a sponge where you want. This creates the mottled, blotted effect like atacs.
Here is the magazine done that way.
