My First Shottie / Gun

I know, for 79 percent of the responses will be a Mossberg but I'm interested in a variety of shotguns, but I'm on a under $1K budget. but here's some info that may help with dealing with the Length, weight, and recoil control. The purpose is mostly for low recoil fun(for a shotgun ad-least), home defense, very reliable, can take a beating, and the occasional zombie attack

I'm 200 pounds and 6ft tall, plus long arms so weight is not that much of a issue (under 12 pounds)

For O/U's (no S/S, i prefer O.U's for the fact they only have a spread difference of height, not length.) i was really loving the look of This Maverick

However I'm eying a lot of pump actions.

Such as this Tac-Mossy

And this one as well

And another Mossy...www.GalleryOfGuns.com - Gun Genie - Davidson's most popular and powerful search engine to find and buy guns at galleryofguns.com

But This Wheaterby shottie interest me.

But their is ONLY ONE semi auto that i love and can afford.

The Sagia.

Its beautiful sleek construction, magazine feed, Russian engineered bad-ass-ness is hardly meet.

But if you have anything else under 1K suggest it, but this may be my only gun for a few years, so please, make every
shot count

Looking forward your suggestions :D

If its going to be your only gun for some time, Id suggest getting a Remington 870 or Mossberg 590. There are tons of accessories for them, so you can customize the gun for your needs (HD, hunting, sporting clays etc.)

What about a Browning A5 light 12? My couysin has a few of them and they were always good shooters with low recoil. You may be able to find one in your price range.

Low reoil? I have never heard "Low recoil" and A-5 in the same paragraph before. The recoil operation is much harder shooting than a comparable gas operated shotgun.

Hard to beat the 870. Many accesories available. One could easily convert from 18" "riot" configuration to skeet or trap with a barrel change.

the Browning A5 is an antique compared to the modern day autoloaders. Repair costs are exorbitant and many key parts are not easy to find...
