I have a cpap machine too. Not because of sleep apnea. Because my wife "says" I snore.
My sleep studies confirmed narcolepsy but apnea was inconclusive. Insurance paid for the machine, so the doctor prescribed it. I don't hate it. Neither do the neighbors.

yeah pretty severe sleep apnea.....don't recall the exact number of times I quit breathing during my sleep study but it was quite a few and I didn't enter deep sleep phase at all without the use of CPAP. Been using it now for several years, its made a big difference and I cant even lay down for a nap now without using it.
