I love my Mossberg 590. Bayonet lug, 8+1 mag capacity... Love it. Either one will do just fine for you

I think there needs to be a sticky thread with a list of the differences between Mossberg and Remington. Am I right Mods? This question is asked once a week!

Default Boys and girl...

step out and try something allot better for a little more dough. Like, a Browning BPS or an Ithaca Model 37. You may not need a Ferrari, but what's wrong with a Corvette. Or, do you just enjoy parading around in a Ford Focus...

Why drink cheap booze! LOLOL...

With the Remy and Mossy barrels and after market parts are more readily available. I got 2 Benelli's and a slug barrel is $600 if i can find one. Remmy and Mossy's been around a long time and you can get used and new barrels for less then half. $600 for a barrel for my Benelli I can get a Mossy and a Remy. I love my 870 and it is my goto gun. I don't know how hard it is to find accessories for the Browning or Ithaca.

Cheap plastics and pot metal parts don't sell for much. That should help you understand the difference...

I agree with you on that. Browning makes a fine gun. I own 2 high end shotguns. I just can't get the cool after market stuff for it.

If it's SHTF and you're out in the woods or trying to scrounge for parts, or need to fix your broken shotgun, having something as easy to fix with parts all over the place like a Rem or Moss is much better than $2500 baseball bat.

Ditto! After careful scrutiny and research they come out to about
the same, as far as expectation and satisfaction goes. But I am
leaning heavily toward purchasing a Mossberg 590 A1. Why? A small
but significant factor helped steered me in that direction: the military
has and still does subscribed to the item above for a number of reasons.

I thought that was the reason Mossy used a metal triggerguard?

Personally, i really like the safety on my Mossy, location-wise.

Default buy good guns...

and be surprised. They run allot longer than black plastic junk! Seriously, if I had to resort to a Mossberg or new age Remington, I'd buy a pellet gun.

BTW, I love the acronyms; Mossy, Remmy, shotty, etc. Shows a real knowledge of the shotgun world...
