Default Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U?

I haven't shot 1 but I like the way they handle. It looks like a well built O/U for the money. I too would be interested in knowing how they shoot.

My son has one, and he loves it. It's a 12 ga., and it handles well. I've read there's some problems with the firing pins breaking, but my son's is ok. From what I could gather, the pins COULD break if you have the action OPEN, and pull the trigger. Then by closing the action, the barrel breech would hit the exposed pins, causing the pins to fracture. This could happen, I suppose, if you get an inexperienced salesclerk putting the gun together for the first time, and/or just screwing around with the gun..Fit and finish is great, and it's easily my son's favorite. He also has a 870 and a 1100, but loves the Reserve.
