Mossberg 935 - shoting 2 3/4 shells
I am looking at buying a 935 but noticed it says not to shot 2 3/4" shells. Has anyone ever shot them through and does it cycle ok if you use a highbrass 1 1/4 oz. load? I want to be able to use it for dove hunting but this may be a deal breaker if I cant shot dove shot with it.

All depends on your intended use. If you need an inexpensive pump to hunt doves with, then the Mossberg 500 would fit the bill. 835 ultimag is a pump that takes up to 3.5 inch shells and is a good duck/goose/turkey gun. The 935 SPX gets the nod for a semi-auto figthing shotgun.

Just buy the Mossberg 930 Autoloader Field/Security Combo. Which gives you both an 18 1/2" security/self-defense barrel and a 28" field barrel for hunting. I've priced it around town, and it can be had for under 500 bucks.
