I looked at a benelli for almost $1700 !!! I couldn't bring myself to spend that on a shotgun!!! I could have a nice .308 auto set up, so I saw the 930 and the price ,my gun shop spoke highly of it.

I understand Benelli's are expensive. But don't fall into the trap so many cheapskates make of elevating an inexpensive gun's place in the scheme of things. For example:
Anybody who praises Mosins, AK's, Makarovs, etc. as superior arms...

in many instances.....yes, expensive products deliver better performance.
but this cetainly not always the case. sometimes, in my experience, those who spend far more on certain items have trouble really proving the product they spent so much for is really superior in any way. sometimes i think these owners make certain claims to justify overpaying for certain products.
in the case of the benelli....from my experience and understanding, the gun simply won't do two things i want it to do. 1) feed cheap plinking ammo consistanly 2) rack a shell from the tube. my mossberg does both for less than half the price. easy choice imo.
bottom line: sometimes less expensive products perform as well as any other product. and sometimes they even perform better.
i think we'll both agree on one thing though....we wouldn't want to be on the business end of a mossberg or a benelli......

if your mossy works like mine....you won't regret it. the extra thousand could be spent elsewhere....

Aside from the fact that they pay him, but why does Miculek run a Mossberg?
Reality is, that Mossberg does the same as the benelli, at less than half the price.

Really Will? So, aside from having to pay for them, if someone put a Benelli and a Mossberg on the table in front of you to take one of you wouldn't have a preference!?

LOL Well, either way, I hope the Mossberg gas gun meets expectations.

People who say you can get the same thing as a benelli, beretta, Browning, etc.... For less than half price doesn't have the experience and understand how much higher quality the guns are....nothing against the mossburgs or any of the less expensive guns. I have owned many of them but you just don't get the quality you do with the high end guns
