AFTER you bought it?
OK
The gun has some reputation for finicky reliability despite claims it'll eat all ammo, and its inards must be cleaned before use and after a relatively short amount of shooting or it will fail to work. Additionaly, the silly (for a shotgun) ghost ring sights are way too high for the stocks.
Great idea. Questionable "features."

Run 200 rounds of hi brass through it first, it'll be fine after that.
I almost bought a spx,
I got the 22" JM Pro instead.
They're great guns

I'm assuming it's the latest generation? Most of the issues I've heard of stem from the earlier gens.

idk for sure about the spx, since i don't own one, but i have a 930 home security model, and it WILL EAT ANYTHING I PUT THROUGH IT. runs low brass like a breeze, and my pal with his benelli shakes his head, cause his benelli won't cycle low brass.
my 930 runs like a champ....$490.....been a a heck of a deal in my book.

Hawkguy;
It may not look as cool as the SPX but if you wanted a 930 for self defense, a brand new one like yours is the one I'd recommend. But if you asked me about a self-loader 12 ga. I'd limit it to a Benneli Armi System gun.
