So i just bought the 18.5" Mossberg 5901A Persuader and i wanted to add a magazine extension on it to make it flush with the barrel as well as add a little more magazine capacity. I have read some discusion on here about it but it still left me a little confused. Thanks!

Sorry i was wondering what are some good brands of magazine extenders and if i would need 1 shot or 2 shot extension to make it flush.

S&J Hardware, Vang Comp (the latter I bought a +1 from didn't fit on the gun!).

HockaLouis i read a previous thread that you were posting on and read that Choate had fixed the problem with the +2 not fitting an 18.5" barrel. I says on there website that the +1 is for the 18.5". If you know of a reason to not go with Choate let me know PM me or write on here. Thanks!

PM'd ya... I do not own the Choate. Why wouldn't a +1 and a +2 be for the 18-1/2"? Hanging stuff out there on the end of your magazine tube as far and as heavy as you can make it is not always best, especially unsupported. I swapped my nice Max100 +2 for a Vang Comp +1.

Choate has been around since I was a kid and have always made cool, but not always the best, products. I presume theirs and even a TacStar, maybe, if they even make these, would be OK (unlike my last Vang Comp extension -- I regret not getting an S&J most recently -- maybe Mr. Vang is just getting too old!).
