Bud's has a bunch of police trade ins Mossberg 590 Mariners. They are SS, 9 shot, accept 2-3/4 or 3" shells and supposedly have very little range time, just carry time. They're asking $359.

According to my value books, that is on the high side, but still about $100 (or 25-30%) less than a new one.

I'd like a good truck SG that I could haul around w/ little worries of it's well being. Also love the capacity and heard it blasts slugs like a dream.

So is it worth it??? Get it?

Is it the 590A1 or the standard 590?
If it's the standard 590 model you may want to get the 500 and save
some coins for another project.

I love my 590. I have been hitting with it a 20x20inch target at 150 yards with slugs. Aiming straight at the target.
At 300 yards the slugs hit lower by 50 inches aprox.
I own several shotguns but I only use the 590 for slugs.

Edit: mine is std. not mariner.
