Default Mossberg 500 Thunder Ranch

New member here, I apologize if this question is repetitious for the more experienced hands.

I just got a new Mossberg 500 Thunder Ranch (internet order, delivered to my FFL). Using 2 3/4" shells, it is supposed to take 5 rounds in the tube. I can only get 2 rounds to load.

Suggestions or help? I appreciate the assistance.

There is probably a plug in the gun, restricts rounds for hunting.

All you have to do is unload the gun & remove the barrel. Turn the magazine tube down and shake the gun. A wood dowel with two O-rings on it will fall out. It is really just that easy! Put the plug up somewhere were you can find it for hunting. Otherwise you will be whittling on a pencil if you need to plug the gun.

Default Thanks

Thanks to all of you; but, in particular, John_Deere. The dowel is out - done and done.

You guys were quick and helpful.

Thank you
