I have seen a lot more than Remingtons having issues, especially with the newer cheapie shells. Why if one buys a NEW gun and experiences issues do they not call the manufacturer? If they don't care about a warranty, why did they buy a new gun?
I prefer the Remington but the Mossberg will also likely outlive your grandkids with reasonable care.
What could have happened... did.
Ya guys I had that lock up issue with the 870 ,and I bought it bran new,I called them dumb @ sses up ,they told me I had to get my barrel polished, and my gun was under warranty,it killed me ,I took it to the shop and the dude was like ,ya its covered but the labor wasn't,I was like the hell with that ,so now I just rip some shells through it ,some times it locks up and some time it don't
I wouldn't trade my 870 for any other gun out there. I've had it since I was 16 (55 now) and I've never had a lick of trouble with it. Brought down countless quail and pheasant with it. That said, I'm thinking I do want a 500 around for home defense and a snake gun. I've heard pretty much all good about the gun since joining FTF.
