I am trying to get a flashlight on the magazine tube of my 500. There is what appears to be a plastic piece between the barrel and the magazine tube. This limits my mounting options to just the 2 piece barrel/magazine clamp, but I can only mount the light on the barrel. Can I remove this plastic piece? It appears to be connected to the heat shield.
