Mossberg 500

Well for once I thought my luck was in, renovating my old farmhouse I found an old Mossberg 500 in an outbuilding, it has a 24" barrel, 2 shot magazine (law compliant here), but missing the safety catch, slider, spring and ball assembly, oh yes and butt plate. General condition filthy but scrubbed up.

I haven't had much to do with Mossberg's but I know they are held in high regard in some quarters (I am extremely fond of the 870), but I have to say having stripped it down for cleaning I thought it mediocre quality. Contacted Mossberg's agents in Europe for the replacement parts and was told to 'forget it' Mossberg's spares service is appauling they have been waiting for parts since January.........

Check Brownell's, or Numrich.

Thanks I have ordered the used parts from Numrich, but I wouldn't have bought one of these things out of choice, not even close to a Remington...
