Default Maverick 88

I've done a quick forum search but it did really answer my question; Does anyone own a Maverick 88? As of right now I only own a .22 long rifle and a .22 magnum rifle; I have real doubts to how effective they would be as a home defense weapons. The purpose of use (pou) would be:
1) home defense (90%)
2) recreation (10%)

I would like to know your good and bad experiences with the Maverick 88.

I was in at my local Dick's Sporting Goods and noticed a really good price on this particular shot gun.

I'm giving one away on FB but they are good guns for the price.

I own a Mav 88 and I love it no problems at all. The only differences between it and the Mossy 500 are the location of the safety and that the parts for the 88 are made in Mexico (hence the lower price). Go for it great shotgun for the money.
