Magazine Plug

I own a Remington 11-87, semi-automatic shotgun. The magazine tube holds 4 shells, but there is a magazine plug in it, that limits it to 2. I know that it's required when hunting, but I don't hunt. I only use it for clay pigeon shooting. In my situation is it required to have it in there? I live in Nevada.

Nope, at least not in MS. Don't lose it, though; i had to substitute a pencil in my old Mossberg.

The reason for the 2 shot magazine was to limit the number of rounds fired at migratory foul only. State and city regulations may apply, but according to the feds, if you are not hunting migratory foul then you are set to load as many as the gun will hold.

some competition folks require 2 round limit for some courses of shooting. other than hunting no legal restrictions i know of.
