That statement makes total sense to me.
The flashlight itself seems to be strongly constructed and has held up very well so far, if I recall correctly you get three different sized lights in a package for around $15.
I mounted it on a Magpul rail section that I had laying around and I had to file the circumference up front slightly so it could be clamped on an extra 1" scope ring I had on hand.
Didn't have a 30mm ring in my parts box dang it, but the setup seems to be pretty strong.
I have electricians tape wrapped around it and a zip-tie keeping the tape from unwrapping so I can hold the light with my teeth to keep my hands free when working on car engines etc.
But I didn't anticipate how well mounting it where I did would allow that light to illuminate the front bead as if the bead itself had its own light built in.
The camera picture taken in total darkness of me pointing the shotgun at some chopping blocks in my yard really doesn't do justice to how well that flashlight is lighting up that area.
