Black Aces rail is nice, I think it's better than the other rail that is available, can't remember the name of the other one. No much of a difference in recoil. You would think if you add some weight up front it would help. I don't have a lug on it, it's just a quad rail. It is a stable platform but a bayonet would turn this thing into a spear, and not sure it's made to support that much stress. This rail mounts in the receiver by using longer pins that hold in the firing group, then there is a brace that goes between the barrel and the mag tube to center it up front. All of the impact of a bayonet would go right to the pins that hold your fire group in.

Not the best picture but this is my latest addition. Winchester SXP Defender with Allen sling and shell holder.

Picked it up on Monday from Academy Sports in Orange Park Florida.

I prefer practical over tactical any day.

This is the one I keep at the ready.
870 Magnum, 20" barrel which I ported, lengthened the forcing cone and installed screw-in chokes. The stock is ATI and I added a side saddle. It also makes a great all-a-round survival shotgun with the interchangeable chokes.

Jim..

Do you guys ever take your shells out and let the mag spring stretch out a little every few months? I am just wondering how often, if any the mag spring needs to be replace being under constant pressure?
