Default Jc higgin model 60 12ga info

I just got a jc Higgins model 60 12 semi auto for 250 dose anyone have any info about it.

About all I can tell you is from memory when I was growing up. I think they were made by High Standard and marketed through Sears under the JC Higgins name. That's the best I can do for you, but if you have a serial number you could Google for more. Keep in mind, if it was made before 1968 you may not have a serial number on it.

I had one. Very reliable but the adjustable choke is a joke.

I had one for a while when I was in high school. I don't think mine had an adjustable choke on it. It had a plain barrel and it fit me and I could hit quite well with it. I do remember it was a pheasant slayer, though just a bit heavy when carrying it all day. $250 seems a little high, but for what guns are going for now, it was probably a fair price.

So far I only put a hand full of shells thro it. And I'm liking it when I get to the house I will post pictures.
