identify old single shot?
 

I have this old single shot 410 that my great grandfather gave me as a kid and I was wondering if you guys could identify it? It says made in Brazil and the manufacteres name is obscured. I'll post pics in a little bit

Thanks! That's already a big jump! I love this old thing. I was wanting to refinish the stock but didn't want to risk it if the gun was super valuable or something....it has a bluebook value of 25 bucks so it ain't an issue

Fairly certain your shotgun was made by Boito, and imported by the now defunct Firearms Import Export Co of Florida.

Boito produced- well, some pretty clunky shotguns. Here in the US they were mainly sold thru discount stores, like K-Mart, W.T. Grant Dept stores, etc. Value of yours is in the $50-$75 range.

My favorite gun is a side by side 12 g Boito. You see, my lady bought that for me for our first wedding anniversary. Still have it. Not the prettiest gun in the safe, not the most expensive, not the best made. Stock has been repaired when it was splitting behind the tang. Still my favorite.

Gotta love those old break action shotguns.

Well this one hasn't let me down yet! Its fun to shoot and small enough that I can teach my little cousins to shoot it
