I was taught to diagnose problems by using the 8 step cycle of operation.

1. feed
2. chamber
3. lock
4. fire
5. unlock
6. extract
7. eject
8. cock

Always look one step BEFORE the perceived problem. In this case, extract. Failjure to PROPERLY extract will look like a failure to eject. Defective extractor and or extractor spring would be my first and probably last look

Does anyone know if an 870 extractor and extractor spring would fit since this is a clone?

Yes they should fit. Extractor isn't a problem to change by yourself, just make sure to go slow and not launch the spring and plunger. The ejector may need to be replaced by a gunsmith, because it is riveted in place.

it depends on how closely they followed the design of the 870.

IOW's, it may look and function just like an 870, but the internals could be sized differently just enough that nothing will interchange.

IMO, you can either send it back to the manufacterer ad have it repaired, order the parts from the manufacturer, or try parts for an 870 and hope they work.

Or ditch it and get an 870.

Does the extractor hold onto the rim of the empty shell properly or does it fall off the extractor and nose down into the shell lifter as it's extracted from the chamber?

Regarding the advice about getting an 870, I've seen 870's have this problem, too. Getting a new shotgun won't magically prevent the problem from happening.

It's generally very easy to fix with a new extractor and/or spring.

Well, put in a new extractor. Extracts way better than before but it still wont eject. What should I do now? I contacted them to see if it could be sent in for repair and they said yes and gave me an address but wouldn't reply to any of my emails after that. Should I try buying an 879 ejector spring and replace it myself? I read about what to do and it doesn't sound too hard.
