Just wondering if someone could help me out by posting some pics of the "j" end of the key. Thanks.

Why don't you just buy one, or a regular safety. They're only about $3.

Can the safety be changed out with the iss lock engaged? I don't have a receipt to send in to Remington. Unless theres another place to get them from I was just going to make one.

Yes it can be changed out, but it is easier to go to a gun store and get them to unlock it for you first.

Hope this helps - this came with a Remington 597, but I understand that one key fits all.... tough thing to photo.....

Thanks for going through the trouble. I need the detail of the tip mostly though. Is the J tip notched?
