I dont blame you guys for hoping the scary dad thing will work. I dated a few boys when i was in high school. I used my scary dad as a tool to weed out the wussies. The ones that were scared off (or never the same after meeting him) were one of the following

A - Retards, that thought my dad was actually willing to go to prison for harming them

B - Must not have liked me much anyway

C - Pu55ies

So i guess you are helping to weed out the rif-raff, But be careful, if she meets a boy she really likes, and knows you are going to act like a special-ed redneck. She might just avoid bringing him around the house, then you are out of the loop...

Default What...???

If you raised her right... you wouldn't have to do this. AND if she has good taste she'll bring home a winner... like maybe my boy.

I 100% absolutely agree. My Dad set an example of how a woman should be treated and I did not date "boys" that treated me less than I deserved. I only dated nice guys for sure. Girls will low self-esteem are the ones who attract losers or who date everyone because if boys "date" you then you're special right??? I keep telling my boys at school that get down on themselves (because girls often ignore the nice guys) to just keep being nice because it will pay off when they're older even if it doesn't seem that way now.

Our daughter will hopefully make wise choices because she sees us in a healthy relationship.

"Buster Douglas"... so I guess he came out of nowhere and turned out to be a champion ???
Yeah... My boy Ranger is a pound rescue I got 8 years ago. He's a Boxer/Vizsla mix.. and my girl Glasha is a German Shorthair/Am-Staff mix from a Petsmart adopt-a-thon last September. She has done wonders for the old man's life and that shot was taken 3 hours after they first met!! They can't stand being apart.

NOW... back to the subject at hand... for all the tough-guy/chest-beaters who "identify" with the pic, I guess you don't have a lot of faith in your kids huhh?? (insert the "stirring the pot" icon here)...

I had a young man come to the house to take a daughter on a date. He pulled up in front of my house and blew his horn. I told my daughter to not move. He honked again and she looked at me...I again told her to sit still. On the third honk, I went outside and told him, "Two things, when you come to my house to date my daughter...you will come to the door and greet her as well as me and if you blow that horn one more time, you'll have to fart to hear it again."

He's my son-in-law now and has already used that line for his daughter. You can't teach what you yourself haven't learned.

It is impossible to fight "mother nature" but we can try to limit the damage done. My CPT once said, "Having a female child is Gods revenge against every young man who was a "hound dog" w women growing up.."

While we can laugh about this "rite of passage" but there are real dangers out there. Just read the local paper.
