I have a 12 gauge double barrel hammer style stage coach gun that's loaded with #4 and #6 shot for HD. Reason, just clock the hammers something the wife can do and makes no sound as it's already loaded, won't jam and a second barrel if a misfire should happens, intimidation factor is really high if shooting is not necessary.

Lmao no I'm married and have a 4yo son. My house was made of logs and cinder blocks. A half log cabin and half modern. I had some building materials left and did some tests. Lol oh I could hear the argument now if I shot inside for tests lol

Logs and cinderblock construction is not the most common material these days,, 00 will definitely go through most homes walls made of 2x's and drywall. btw almost spit coffee when I read you had tested it in your home....lmao

From a couple of feet away light birdshot will do damage,, most people have some laying around, if not its cheap and plenty,, grab a box next time going shooting and take a shot at a hard target ( not strategic ) like a peice of plywood from 5,10, ft, and see if you think you'd be able to tough through it and continue an attack. Not me. May not be lethal everytime, but will make a bg stop.
