Default How good are Legacy Shotguns?

I'm looking for a shotgun for my daughter. She'll be 12 and is looking to go pheasant hunting, but she's tiny. I have a Beretta A-390 20ga., but it's too long and heavy for her. She can shoot it (barely) but there's no easy she could carry it around hunting.
I ran across a Legacy Sports youth model in a gun shop. It had a 22" barrel and was just about the lightest shotgun I'd ever held. It had a pink and black camo stock and my daughter fell in love with it. Thing is, I don't know anything about these shotguns, or anyone who owns one. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they gas operated, recoil operated, or inertia?
