Default coach gun

my wife likes her side by side 12 gauge. She says if its good enough for granny as in the Beverly Hillbillies its good enough for her. She loads it with 00 buck.

I guess that is why she never lets me bring home guests more than 2 at a time...

Just got my newest home defense shotgun yesterday. Picked up a new Remington synthetic 870 18' 12 gauge w/ a factory extended magazine tube. For some reason, this 870 seems better made (less clunky) than my older model. I can't wait to go shoot it!!!

one of my buddies in afghanistan found a sawed off double barrel. he fixed it up and keeps it in his hummvee with 00 buck. it's great if someone runs up to the vehicle.

That's a good solid piece of kit for any home defense. Well made and it's stood the test of time. Plus the parts and available accessories is long as train smoke. You can't go wrong with a good shotgun, as long as you know how to utilize it properly....

Oh yeah, I've been shooting all brands of shotguns for years. I will admit I like the safety on my issued Mossberg 590A1 much better than the Remingtons. I've never had a bad experience with a pump shotgun. I think it's a design that's pretty tough to screw up.

my 590 served well in haiti. it was great with the less leathal stuff. but i've never had problems with my 870 either. i actually like the safety on my 870 because i have a mesa tactical stock adaptor on it.
