Home defence rounds for hunting

I was wondering if any one thought that the Winchester pdx-1 12ga slug and buck home defense rounds would work in large game?
I'm new thanks

Uh, it would make holes? How large are you talking? Deer, Bears, Elephants?

Deer maybe longer range coyote and maybe a stretch but small black bear

It would be a headshot with a bear

Depends on the laws where you live. Here in NY, we can't use buckshot on deer. If using a shotgun, deer are slug only. If you even have 1 shotshell in your pocket, you lose the deer, your gun, your hunting privleges for atleast 5 years, and quite possibly your freedom. Check your state game laws, they will tell you what you can and can't use.

I have chopped in half a live cedar tree 3 inches in diameter at very close range and the tree fell down! I was using av12 gauge 2/4 inch in a #5 shot size small game magnum load. The wad didn't have a chance to open and it was almost like a solid projectile! Think of what that would do at HD/PD range never mind what the buckshot loads will do would do to a BG! Easy to check out and VERIFY what I just said in the woods! Enjoy!
