Help! installing front pistol grip on 870
I see how to take the original forend off that came on the 870 tactical (haven't done it yet), but I don't see how the front pistol grip attaches to the bottom of the gun.

This is the grip that I bought :

I may be missing a part that allows it to attach to the bottom..

Can somebody tell me what I'm missing? Thanks

It looks like it has a picatinny mount on the pistol grip so you would need a picatinny rail to mount it to. Not sure if you need a whole new forend or a rail can be mounted to the 870's forend not familiar with it

You need a new forend with picatinny rail mounts for you to mount your grip on. ATI makes some as well as other manufacturers

Okay thanks for the help. I ended up getting this forend :

Had good reviews and it's the same brand as my vertical grip. Can't wait to get everything together and test it out!

I put a similar foregrip on my 870 with that exact mako hand guard. I liked it a little but liked the way the gun felt with just a basic hand guard. I ended up putting on my Blackhawk hand guard that came with the pistol grip stock. The 870 now looks better and feels better.

Here is an old pic with the mako rail and foregrip.

I think the blackhawk forend is ugly. And I've been debating getting wood stock and forend for my 870. Also the blackhawk forend will hit any side saddle.
