Default help on Charles Daly

So a co-worker of mine has a Charles Daly field 12ga auto, and he says it will only shoot the first round, and thats it, doesn't cycle, or eject.
Right off the bat I see there is no ejector. Will the missing ejector cause the weapon to not cycle properly when fired?
Also keep in mind I have not shot this gun yet. I'm going of off what he told me about it.

Can't make out much from the pics, but looks to be missing the extractor.

Extractor pulls the spent shell from the chamber, ejector removes the spent shell from the receiver. Both must be in working order, and are easy to replace....Even a cave man can do it.
