Default Hawthorn-Viking 12 ga. shotgun?

Any one have any idea what the "heritage" of a "Hawthorn-Viking, Montgomery Wards & Co. - 458, 12 ga, 2 3/4" full choke, action made in France", pump shotgun is? I havent had any luck with cross reference charts. I inherited it many years ago (former Monkey Wards employee) and it suited my kids fine. Now it's collecting dust.

You mean how old, or how much it's worth, or who originally made it, or what? They seem to run 75-100 bucks depending on condition.

Heres one that sold at gunauction.com:

A guy on here says it was made by Manufrance-LaSalle.

It seems to check out pretty well. I'm fairly certain it was a Manufrance-LaSalle gun.

Here is the Manufrance website. You may want to contact them, it may be difficult because some of its in French.

Thanks folks. I knew it wasnt worth much, just wanted to know it's origin and if it had an association with other manfacturers. This answered my questions.
