Why do Shotgun Comparison/ Opinion topics always have so much anger. Last time it was Some other kid and Super Dave and Me.. Now its those 2.
Jeez.

Isn't the question basically would you trust your life to this gun?
No. I would trust the 870 Express Magnum I use if it were buried in Snow and ice for 2 weeks before I'd trust that. End of story.

The Shotgun Works just fine, the real fact is Remington owns both companies. The specs are Remington’s, & some of the Remington’s parts are made in Japan. Stop waving the Flag. USA products, made only in the USA are so hard to come by. Remington created this line of shotguns for what purpose who knows what for? I own Both Shotguns they work great!!! If you’re on a budget Get the H&R Pardner Pump / Hawk 982 Pump.

I now own a Hawk 982 12ga anbd a H&R Pardner Pump 20ga.I like them both and they serve me well. I also have a Remington 1100 that is close to 50 years old. It has always worked and taken unknown numbers of game. When I bought it everyone was telling me that all auto shotguns were unreliable, too. These discussions sort of remind me of a sign I read once, "If space aliens are so smart why do they keep abducting ther dumbest people on earth?" Maybe because some of them sound so stupid on here they are trying to silence them? Well, we can hope.
Anyone want to comment on the merits of a 20ga for home defense?
