Florida Shotgun Laws?
I recently bought a Shotgun and want to practice with it, But i do not have much more woods than like 100-150 yds (not my property, unowned woods) and i heard you could legally shoot bird-shot in areas not with the 2 mile High power rifle buffer. i would like someone to link me to the rules and regulations, or confirm or deny this thing.

Call your local sheriff's department and ask them. It will all depend on where you are with relation to city limits or unincorporated county areas, etc. I can't recall ever seeing laws specifically pertaining to shotguns and what kind of load you're allowed to shoot.

BTW, I've never heard of "un-owned" land. Somebody somewhere owns it.

Have fun, be safe.

Welcome to the FTF. When you have a chance, stop by the "Introductions" area.

With the large areas of Public Hunting areas we have in FL, there should be some place to shoot. Any place that sells hunting licenses should have info on where you can shoot. You may want to Google or Bing "shooting ranges in FL", I've found quite a few.

Bad idea to go wild in 100-150 yards of woods. Aint enuff protection for nearby residents.

Go find a range, get some training, take a Hunter's Education course.
