No offense to the guys who liked their 1100's, I shot out 2 of them in competition, nothing left to rebuild. Upgraded to a benelli M1 s90 and fell in love. Now I shoot an M2 and it cycles everything from the lightest birdshot to mule kicking slugs and always shoots. Also the benelli doesn't have the silly button on the feed ramp. Always got bit by the 1100 when speed loading, benelli is super smooth.
Remington 1100 magnum 12, 30" full. Tripled on geese using 3" Bismuth #2's and doves running AA Handicap 7.5's. Mine was from an estate, made around 1985, unfired. Shot informal trap and a bunch of critters, looked like new when I sold it (divorce).
Making a beater version project this weekend. Hated taping my minty 1100 up for turkeys (got my first gobbler with it- 21.5 lbs!)
