Default Ducks Unlimited Info

I just bought a Mossy 500 12ga. It has Ducks Unlimited 10/30 marked into the left side.

Any of you Ducks Unlimited folks know the significance of the 10/30 ??

I've been looking on the net at the DU site and see they sell hats with the 10/30 marking on the patch, but no info on the meaning of it.

Thank ya much, Ken

kenhesr,

I have a friend that works at the DU Headquarters in Memphis TN. And since I did not know the answer to your question even being a DU Member my self, I contacted him. Here is the answer:

The 10-30 notation on the receiver was an incentive program hosted by DU for the DU Chapters. To make a long story short, the chapter must have their paperwork turned in at the ten day mark and the thirty day mark after an event in order to qualify for the free 10-30 gun. If the chapter qualified for the firearm, Du's national headquarters donates a 10-30 marked gun to the chapter at no cost to the chapter for their fundraising effort at the event. DU frequently used Mossberg for these programs. Enjoy your new shotgun!

Sniper03, Many thanks for look'in into that for me, I really appreciate it. I had no luck on my own. My local DU guys didn't know and the internet was no help.

I hate it when there was something that obvious marked on it and I didn't know what it meant.

Thanks again, I owe ya one, Ken

Ken,

Don't owe me a thing it was my pleasure, other than continue to support our great country as we have know it and our Second Amendment Rights!
There are a lot of us here on the FTF who are here to learn ourselves and also to help others! You and I both learned something today!
Take Care!
