Default Double barrel opening lever is stuck...

Ok, so I posted another thread about my rebuild project of an LC Smith double barrel. It mainly needs a new stock and foregrip, but I have found another problem with it. The opening lever is stuck, and won't budge. It's stuck in the open position, and I think that a piece may be broke.

I honestly can't see a damn thing in the pics (on my phone). I'd start with a good penetrating oil to see if anything loosens up.

looks filthy as hell. prolly needs to be run through a sonic cleaner or a good soak in some kroil oil

Yeah the pictures are crappy. I took them with iPhone and they weren't that bad, but when they uploaded to this thread, the quality was majorly downgraded.
