Default does anyone make this?

does anyone currently make a self defense style shotgun in a stainless, chrome, or nickle plating in a 20 GAUGE?

the only thing i come up with is a stoeger sxs coach gun.

pump or auto is fine. just stainless and 20 is a combo i can't seem to find.

thanks for any help.

Only one I can think of is the Mossberg "marine" models but I think they only make it in 12 gauge. Just curious but what makes you want a 20 gauge for self defense? I own 2 12 gauge shotguns, so take this with a grain of salt. Isnt 20 gauge ammo more expensive than 12? Or is that the case with .410?

Here are a few options.

This is about the best I could do.

haw....i have 12G as well and a 20G. i like 12G, i just really like a 20G for HD....bit more manageable for quick follow ups shots imo...and just as nasty at HD distances.

20G ammo price is mostly negligible. but variety definitely suffers vs 12G ammo.

i like stainless....looks and durability. i like 20G....i guess i'm a bit of an odd duck here....

Another option is have one refinished. There is a shop in South Austin, on St. Elmo, West of IH 35 that does industrial plating. I have seen some very nice work come out of there. They do oil field stuff and have no problem doing guns. Electroless nickel is dang tough. They charged by the run. If you could send a disassembled shotgun and a few other parts (like a pistol slide), it is one charge. We had several guys that could get their Glock slides done. 10 slides for about $50. I did several two tone jobs on Sigs (220's and 226's) back in the day. They can do Hard Chrome, Parkerizing, Bright Chrome, Electroless Nickel, etc

Not really an odd duck. I like 20 as well but my pumps are 12 and 410. I am seriously considering the 410 for HD as my wife could handle it. 4-000 buck is a nasty load along with all the defense rounds that came out for the 410 since the Judge hit it big. Dont put down a 20 gauge double for HD. 2 very fast shots of #3 buck is pretty nasty and they are very quick handling with their short length. About 4" shorter than a 12 pump with an 18.5" barrel. No chance of a short stroke but slower to re load. I did have the double 20 in use for home defense but I can replace a 12 pump for $200 if it gets confiscated.

Not that odd, as i also prefer a 20 over a 12 for most things, including HD. I still have 12s, a few of which were det up for HD, but I just like the 20 more as i get older. Then again, i may be a little odd in that I also like bolt action shotguns, and own a few of them as well as pumps, and a single semi-auto.
