Cyl bore chokes. Where to buy?

I've been trying to find some prices online for chokes, specifically a Cyl. bore blank so I can more comfortably shoot slugs. But I don't seem to be able to find any. Do they have a special name or something?

I'm assuming this is for your 870?

Brownell's----the gun parts/gunsmith supply candy store.

155-712-008 Carlson's cyl bore 12 ga for Remington

They also have cyl. bore in a sporting clays choke, and
a breeching choke, as well as rifled choke tubes for use
with slugs. Heck--you can even get a poly-choke that screws
into your gun.

If you are truly after a "blank", they have that too--but
you have to bore it out to what you want.

Jeez. For $40 I might as well just go ahead and pick up a used 18" cyl. barrel. How's that for a high quality choke? Heck, it's easier to swap out than a choke is too! I see one on craigslist for $60.

I wouldnt pay that much for one, i bought a full choke for my express last year for 20 bucks. Picked it up at bass pro.

Yeah, but a full choke is the opposite of what I need.

What's your intended use for a cylinder choke?

Slugs/Home Defense. Having a Cylinder Bore option will reduce choke wear while shooting slugs and give a larger pattern in the home with buck, since distances are so short. Just another reason to get the 18" really. 8 fewer inches to be swinging indoors.

Makes sense. I would definitely opt for the new barrel...

tcan, some of the slug chokes are rifled and are made specifically for slugs, but for what you are trying to achieve, the extra barrel would probably be a better choice. i have one of my pumps with a choked 28" barrel and plan on buying an extra barrel, unchoked in 18.5" for it, for the same reasons as you.:)
