Does anybody here shoot cut shells for some fun or cheap entertainment?

How do you cut them and what happens when you cut them and shoot them?

We have discussed this here. Really not a good idea, useful to know for last ditch extreme circumstances.

Winds- if you cut part way thru the plastic of a shot shell, going all the way around the shell, on firing the front half of the shell leaves the gun in one piece, holding together and acting like a slug.

HOWEVER- shotguns were never meant to have that larger cohesive mass pushed thru the squeeze of the forcing cone. Spikes pressures, increases wear on gun, and could lead to someone saying "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to say farewell to...."

Thanks for the explanation. I could never understand why someone would want to 'experiment' with a firearm.

This topic has caused much consternation in the past. NOT SAFE. Let's just not go there.
