I was wondering what gun you use for clays I currently use a stoger condor supreme
What kinnd of site do u use? Fiber optic? Bead?

It was my great grandfathers gun.

I know what you are thinking......why would a guy shoot clays with a pump?

I've never competed in clay target shooting, just love doing it to keep in shape for duck and goose season.

i use a winchester model 37A youth in 410 bore. the firearm is a sigle shot. it has an auto eject. and a single brass bead for the sights. it is very reliable. i can hit the clays almost every time with that 410. my hobby is trap shooting.

My second favorite to trap shoot with is my dad's pump. It's a Winchester SXP. My favorite is my NEF break action 12. I built it tacticool just for fun. I like the challenge of single shot skeet shooting. It really builds ability.

You can go crazy optimizing guns so I would sure start out with what you've got already. The skeet field is a pretty good place to start, then move on to trap, then to sporting clays (which typically costs per per target than do skeet or trap). If you like the sport and want to move toward higher scores, then start checking out Browning and Beretta over-and-unders with 30-32" barrels. Before buying, get some advice on gun fit, especially length-of-pull and eye-barrel vertical relationship.

My favorite trap gun is an old Stevens Model 311A side by side 12 ga. (2nd from top in photo) but occasionally I try my favorite pheasant gun (Rem. 870 Wingmaster 20 ga. below it). I just seem to draw a better bead on the clays with the side by side and kill more pheasants with the 20 ga.

It don`t matter what you use for trap as long as it feels good and points naturally for you. I have acouple of BT-99`s and several model 12`s. They seem to fit me best and point best for me.
