reminds me of the days when our generation would buy an amc pacer and put on mag wheels and a super stereo in it. cut a hole in the hood and put a fake blower on it, stick stp stickers in back window, dump a few thousand in for accessories,
and it was still a piece of junk with a 232 in line 6, w/ 1 barrel carb!!!!!!
sure it ran, but it sure told the world who you were as far as brains!!!

Cutting a shotgun barrel is easy to do. Measure, measure again, thenput masking tape where you want to cut. Use the edge of the tape as a marker. Use a hacksaw and cut around the edge of the tape.
Use a flat mill bastard file to flatten and smooth the edges of the cut barrel. You can use a sharp pocket knife to chamfer the inside of the muzzle. A gunsmith is not required.
Even so, if you need a gunsmith to cut a shotgun barrel, I can't imagine it costing more tham $30-$40.

When a gunsmith cuts off a shotgun barrel he doesn't cut it off with a bandsaw. He cuts the barrel off with a lathe. That way the finished product has a perfect crown at the end of the barrel. Many shotgun barrels are tapered. So to get a a balanced gun he has to taper the barrel again. You get what you pay for.

Shotgun barrels don't have to be crowned. Rifles do.
I have never heard of tapering a shotgun barrel- and I was a gunsmith for many years. Sheesh!

I always wanted a AMC Gremlin and paint it like a hi-top gym shoe.

...Oh..And just trade the shot gun off. You don't want to but someone might later.

You're hitting where it hurts, when you vote with the wallet.

DON'T bubba the gun, OP. GO to a store and get a bubba

gun, they are almost giving them away, because nobody

wants them.

PLEASE, PLEASE, I'm begging you, don't bubba

ANOTHER gun...

Cutting an unnecessarily long barrel on a shotgun is not "bubbaing." It's just common sense.
