Ok that's interesting, i was reading online that a bunch of people were saying that shooting slugs through a smooth bore barrel would be extremely inaccurate. Good to know they didn't know what they're talking about. 50 to 100 yards is remarkable through a shotgun, i can't wait until I have a deeper place to shoot in. Regarding range, how does 12ga compare to 20ga when using shells in a smooth bore barrel?

The 20ga will shoot more accurate but a 12 has more knockdown power but either will work fine

I shot 3 deer with a 20 gauge. At 50 yards the slug had enough energy to embed into the tee behind him. My cousin last season with the same 20 took one at 70 yards. I heard the same thing too, not accurate. From experience it's not as bad as I've heard. I will still recommend a rifled barrel. My slugs don't go all over the place but when they do it's mostly because I flinch.

Briley makes the best choke tubes. Expensive? yes, but they are worth it.

Briley makes good tubes but I don't think you can say any one brand is the best

Quality how good they are machined...it helps shoot a more even pattern when shooting regular shotgun shells
