Default Chiappa 1887 Lever Action 12ga

Well the "need to have one" bug bit me today.... I have purchased a brand new Chiappa 1887 Lever Action 12ga with a 22" barrel finished in satin chrome. It is shipping from Nevada and should be to my FFL dealer by Thursday. These are such cool guns that I just decided that I could not go on without one! Since I want to actually shoot it, I decided not to go with an original Winchester 1887. So it was narrowed down to either the Italian made Chiappa or the Chinese made IAC or Century Arms. The Chinese reproductions cost about half of what the Chiappa does, but I've read that their build quality is quite sketchy. I can't wait for it to get here. When it does I will post some detailed pics of it as well as a performance review. Here is one of the stock photos of it......

Hell if 'Ol Joe Biden insists we shoot shotguns of of our second story balconies, 2 rounds just aint gonna be enough! Let the criminals have 7 rounds! I am gonna do everything I can to get out and shoot some stuff up on Saturday morning. I will try and get a video of it!

My brother has a Winchester 1901 (same gun) and we shoot it often. The 1901's were only made in 10 gauge though . And we have to reload for it as it is only 2-7/8" chamber.

Nice shotty!!! Chiapa seems like a quality maker of historical firearms at non-historical prices.

A lever shotgun has always been on my long list of guns I want to own someday. I could buy a Marlin but they only make theirs in .410. I want either 12/20. Congrats on your purchase. Make sure you give us a range report.

Well she came in today, and she is a beauty! it is very well put together and the action on it is super smooth. it has a really nice trigger pull on it as well. Much better the the trigger on my Winchester 94. Now I just need to get out and shoot it saturday and see how she performs! Maybe take her over to Uncle Joe's palace and fire a couple of shots in the air from his balcony?
