Default CBC sb question

Should be basic but for some reason I am having a problem. How do I take barrel off of a CBC model sb single shot. It has the super stiff front spring and the pivot pin. what is best way to remove barrel.

on many of those single shot or break-open shotguns, the hinge pin is a tapered one. meaning it has to be driven out in the correct direction, or you will damage the pin, along wit the receiver. you will have to determine the correct direction in which the pin will have to driven from. a padded vice along with an appropriate punch and hammer are needed.

as many times this is what sets the headspace on most of those types of shotguns, it's probably a job left up to a competent gunsmith with the proper tools to do the job.

Open shotgun, check chamber is clear. Close action. Grasp the front of the forearm, pull down, pivoting the forearm, remove forearm. It is held in place by a spring loaded cam. With the forearm off, open the action, slide barrel to the rear about an inch, remove barrel.

To assemble, hook barrel lug over pivot pin, close action. Place heel of forearm against frame, line spring loaded cam up on it's latch, swing front of forearm up, will snap in place. Do not get fingers in the way.
