Default Brownung Auto 5

After going to a gun show yesterday and seeing several Browning Auto 5s with expensive ($1000+) asking prices my step-father was interested in his. Its 16 gauge(NOT, I repeat NOT a Sweet 16) with an adjustable choke; Serial No. in the 19000s. He knows little of its history, said "it was my fathers' fathers' gun". the finish is about 80% with one tiny patch of pitting light enough to obscure one of the digits in the serial number. Whats it worth? Ill add pics later on if need to help price estimation.
An Ameture does it until they can get it right, a Pro does it until they can't get it wrong
